Fundacion AFOS is a non-profit NGO that works with sectors of the lowest socio-economic status in Cordoba, Argentina, responding to their needs and demands, in order to improve their lifestyles. For four years now, we have been working to accomplish these goals by receiving volunteers and interns from all around the world and creating a direct link to the local social NGOs, as well as helping volunteer/interns find a project that’s right for them.

Unfortunately, since the economic collapse, Argentina is also a country suffering from great poverty and social displacement. For many of the people who live here, especially the young, disadvantaged, or disabled, life is a daily struggle. Fundacion AFOS provides critical volunteer assistance to support the small to mid-sized NGOs that are the backbone of the social safety net for these vulnerable populations. 

Fundacion AFOS provides assistance to these NGOs by providing safe and affordable volunteer, internship and learn Spanish programs in the city of Cordoba, Argentina, for socially aware and concerned individuals. Placements are customized to the unique skills and interests of each participant and include the opportunity for full immersion in the life, culture and language of Argentina. Programs include working in community centers and daycares in vulnerable communities, nursing homes, tutoring centers, accompanying disabled individuals, health promotion, and more.

Argentina is a land of friendly people, amazing history, incredible scenery and natural resources, and a uniquely warm blend of South American and European culture. Modern Cordoba in particular is a veritable paradise for visitors with its combination of well-preserved history, the natural beauty of the surrounding Sierras, few international tourists and a lack of serious crime.
