We have extensive experience working with students and university advisors and can help you to meet your university requirements to ensure credits are obtained, including the assignment of a local tutor/supervisor, preparation of an internship plan, insertion of the intern in the receiving organization, weekly follow up meetings, internship final evaluation and certificate.

Fundación AFOS’s mission is to provide management and structural assistance to support small and mid-sized non-profits (NGOs) located in the area of Córdoba, Argentina which are also generally in great need of capable and committed interns to work directly in their projects. AFOS recruits international interns and matches them to a project that interests them and where their knowledge and skills can provide the maximum positive impact.

The non profits we support need interns with background in a wide variety of fields such as social sciences, social work, psychology, sociology, development, economics, management, communication, marketing, political science, international relations, humanities, arts and more.

Our internship programs are offered year-round and for any length of time. You can put your theoretical knowledge to work, fulfill your academic requirements, involve in a small non profit, learn how it operates and provide your knowledge and work for a noble cause while improving your Spanish and immersing in the incredible culture of Argentina’s people.

Basic internship requirements
• Minimum age of 18.
• Minimum of one month commitment.
• General volunteer workload of 20-25 hours per week.
• An intermediate or higher knowledge of Spanish. See Spanish courses info…
• An application form. Contact us to request it…

The success of your internship experience depends on you and what you make of it. Your attitude, self initiative and willingness are key. You will find little structure in local social organizations so interns are expected to be patient, enthusiastic to learn and serve, motivated, and –above all- proactive.
