Who runs the projects and activities of the participants?
Fundacion AFOS provides management and structural assistance to small and mid-sized non-profits located in the area of Córdoba, Argentina. These local NGOs run the projects and activities where the interns and volunteers work. However, we keep close contact with these NGO´s as well as with the volunteers working with them to ensure a positive experience for both sides.

What are the daily schedules of the projects like?
Project schedules vary for each project depending on its needs. Most run Monday to Friday for 5-7 hours a day. Volunteers generally have the weekends off to sight-see or explore Argentina on their own.

Where are the projects located?
Most of the projects are located in the city of Córdoba, and no further than 30 km. from downtown.

How long will my program last?
There are no maximum time limits for our programs. However, we require a minimum of 2 weeks for volunteering and 4 weeks for internships. Otherwise, neither participants nor NGO's achieve a positive experience. The average period for the volunteer or internship programs is around 2 months, but some stay up to one year.

Can I change projects or assigned activities if I am not satisfied?
In the unlikely case that you are dissatisfied with your project or activities you may ask us to intervene or request a change. Ability to change is dependent on current NGO needs and availability. Fundacion AFOS will make every effort to accommodate your requests and to ensure that you have a satisfying experience.
